CUPERTINO – Apple has ordered the number of displays for the iPad Mini scaled according to new rumors. DigiTimes claims that AU Optronics in the second quarter of this year, significantly fewer screens for the small Apple tablet supplies than in the previous period.

In the second quarter the company would between 2.5 million and 2.8 million screens shipping. In the first three months of this year were still 4 million displays shipped. Sources in the supply chain claim that Apple fewer screens ordered to anticipate a decline in demand for the iPad Mini.

That would have to do with the fact that fewer devices are sold during the summer. generally The insiders say that Apple still hold a strong second quarter, which is expected around 10 million iPad Mini will be shipped. LG Display provides the remaining 7 million screens.
