Young children should be minimal exposure to computers. That advises the German psychiatrist and psychologist Manfred Spitzer in the Volkskrant. “They stimulate a cursory way of learning.”
As far as the memory researcher, computers should receive a leaflet: “beware, not suitable for the developing brains of young children, large risk of addiction and poor school performance.
According to Spitzer, all studies that demonstrate the benefits of computers (kids would spectacularly better reading and math), sponsored by the ICT lobby. “But there are well-conducted studies that give rise to great concern.” Children learn superficial and the less they have to do on their memory, the worse it will function, relying said Spitzer.
