Microsoft last week some Office features made free on iPhone and iPad. Also making and editing documents is now free – two functions where you previously had to take out a subscription. Do you feel cheated, then there is good news: you have a Home or Office 365 Personal- subscription purchased to edit documents on your iPad, you will get money back from Microsoft
A Personal Office 365 subscription costs 100 euros per year if you are private user. Such subscription entitles you to extra features such as extra storage space on OneDrive, access the Office apps for the desktop and more. Had you purchased the subscription to edit documents on the iPad you can get money back. There are, however, some rules. So you have to have the subscription ending on or after March 27, 2014, the date on which Office for iPad available came. You also need to have activated your subscription for November 6, 2014. This is the date on which the changes were announced.
You have until January 31, 2015 time to cancel your subscription and request a refund. Got your subscription purchased through the App Store, you must arrange the refund via the support section of the iTunes Store. At Microsoft, it takes 6 to 8 weeks before you get your money back.
