Sandisk Introduces Flash Drive for iPad and iPhone – NU.nl

The memory of iPhones or iPads is not expandable with USB sticks or SD cards because the devices do not have the necessary ports.

In addition to the normal ability to copy various types of files from the device to the flash drive (or vice versa) via a special app, the device also features a built-in video player. Consequently movies rather than having to first iPhone or iPad are copied before they can be played.

iXpand works with the iPhone 5, iPad Air and iPad mini or newer models, with at least iOS 7. The flash drive comes in versions with 16, 32 and 64 GB respectively 59,99, 79 , 99 and costs $ 119.99. Official European prices and not yet known. The memory sticks are made from 16 November in the US and coming to Europe early next year.

Sandisk is not the first to bring a memory stick with Lightning connector on the market. Manufacturer Hyper already released via crowdfunding site Kickstarter the iStick on the market, which is about hezelfde works
