Google Maps now available for the iPad - Macworld

Last week, Google announced it already, but now it’s finally happened: the major update for Google Maps is released in the App Store. The update will include support for the iPad, improved navigation and a function to explore the app.

Since Google Maps under the spell was done by Apple with the release of iOS 6, there was no longer iPad version of the app available. Now Google brings so an updated version with a new interface and many new features to the iPad. All new features are also available for the iPhone version of Google Maps.

The most notable improvements include improved navigation and explore the new feature. For example, Google Maps during navigation now adapt more quickly to traffic situations and makes it easier to find.
