Boeing has launched a set of iPad apps that aircraft technicians must perform.

apps offer access to manuals and part numbers. It can also be worked with colleagues.
For example, a picture of a damaged part be created and uploaded it so that others can get to work.
The aircraft maker has worked with several airlines to use the app. Alaska Airlines estimates that the app saves about 4,000 sheets of paper per day.
