iOS is 7: A Guide for iPhone, iPod and iPad users - Volkskrant

The operating system iOS 7, the latest version of the iPhone software, has just been released. Apple CEO Tim Cook named iOS 7 during the announcement “the biggest change since the introduction of the iPhone five years ago.” A Guide for iPhone, iPod and iPad users:

How to install
iOS 7 will be on the new iPhones – the standard operating system – the 5S and 5C. The update will be offered to all users of iOS 6 on many of the latest devices: iPhone 5, iPhone 4S and iPhone 4, the iPad 4, iPad 3 and iPad 2, iPad mini and iPod Touch v5. The support for the iPhone 3GS and iPod touch v4 lapsed. The first iPad and older iPhones and iPod touch models were even no update to iOS 6.

iPhone users get a notification on their smartphone and download the update as they sit on a Wi-Fi network , or they can go to ‘Settings’ – ‘General’ – ‘Software Update’ go. Once iOS 7 is installed, it is not possible to go back to the old system.

What changes
