say anonymous, but informed sources familiar with applea??’s plans across the usually reliable AppleInsider.

Retina

In March 2011 introduced the now deceased former CEO Steve Jobs iPad 2. The tablet proved a big success. The iPad 2 was an innovative tablet compared to its predecessor: it was the first Apple tablet with a camera on the front. It was also the first tablet that was compatible with the magnetic Smart Cover and besides black was also available in white.

A year later, Apple introduced the third generation iPad official â?? The New iPadâ?? named. It was applea??’s First tablet with a retina display. In September 2012 Apple launched two iPads with retina screens: the fourth generation (iPad with Retina) and iPad Mini. Last fall, added to that the Apple iPad and iPad Mini Air 2 to it.

According to anonymous sources, more and more consumers prefer an iPad with a retina display. Not only because of the sharp image, but also because of the competitive prices. Since September last year consumers third-generation iPad with retina display buy for 369 euro. That is almost the same price as Apple’s iPad 2 currently for sale on its website. Why consumers choose an iPad with retina display, which furthermore also is lighter and more compact.

Production Stop

For these reasons, Apple discontinues the production of the iPad 2. At what time Apple is going to stop the production anonymous sources do not tell. The rumors sound at least very plausible.
