Archos launches 8-inch 80 Helium 4G tablet - Tablets Magazine

Archos already has a wide range of tablets, with virtually for every taste and every budget model, but a tablet with 4G support was missing. Today, the French manufacturer’s first 4G tablet, the 80 Helium 4G presented.

Archos also present during MWC 2014 , the fair which starts Monday in Barcelona. The French company will have a number of new smartphones and at least show a new tablet to the public. The tablet is 80 Helium 4G, the first tablet from the company that supports faster mobile Internet over a 4G connection.

Archos 80 Helium 4G features an 8-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1,024 by 768 pixels and runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor with a clock speed of 1.3GHz. Furthermore, the tablet features 1GB of RAM, 4GB of storage memory, a microSD card reader to expand the memory of a 3.000mAh battery, and Android 4.3 Jelly Bean software. On the back is a 2.0 megapixel camera and a front 0.3 megapixel webcam.

Archos gives this 4G tablet a price tag of 280 euros converted it. Whether and when the tablet is in Dutch shops is not yet known.
