The Anne Frank House presents an iPad App and a social media site for youth: Code-R (www.code-r.org). Five young people tell what war means to them and invite others to do the same. Code-R will actively involve young people in the meaning of war and commemorate.

iPad App five young people tell a surprising story from World War II. Users swipe through family histories of particular historical photos and film clips from Rotterdam, Aalten, Breda and Amsterdam, and diving in a comic book about the Second World War. In addition, the five young people the question: what is your Code-R, or: which means war and commemorate for you

The same question is central on the social media site?. What is your Code-R? Remember, you think of what happened to the people who were persecuted and killed? Reflect, see discrimination, exclusion and persecution even now around you? Respond, what you learn from history and what do you mean? The site offers young people the opportunity to have their own ideas and views on war and to commemorate a poll, shoutbox, tweet and / or photographs.

Code-R is an initiative of the Anne Frank Foundation in back partnership with LBi, Layer Gloss and Mobypicture. Code-R has been realized thanks to a financial contribution from the National Committee 4 and 5 May, among other things to promote. Use of educational comic books about World War II inside and outside education
