iPad 5 years: all releases at a glance – iPhoned.nl

It’s exactly five years ago today that Apple iPad introduced, although we in the Netherlands and Belgium until July 23, 2010 had to wait before we could with the first really good tablet of the company started.

Below are We all iPad introductions put the past five years in a row, starting copied to that of the first iPad on 27 January 2010. The tablet was a breakthrough in the tablet market, and in the years after the introduction frequently by other manufacturers.

More than a year later, on March 2, 2011, it was the turn of the thinner, lighter iPad 2. This tablet also had a snappier A5 processor, more memory (512MB) and cameras on both the front and back.

The iPad 3, just the name ‘iPad’ wore, was launched on 7 March 2012. This iPad had first 1GB of RAM and unscrewed the resolution of 9.7 inch screen with 1024 x 768 to 2048 x 1536 pixels. The pixel density of the Retina display was considerably higher, with the result that everything looked sharper.

In October of the same year Apple launched the fourth generation iPad, with more storage (up to 128GB), a faster processor and an improved GPU. Simultaneously with the iPad 4, the iPad mini was first introduced, a smaller tablet with the same hardware as the iPad 2.

The iPad Air, the first Apple tablet with an M7 coprocessor and the faster DDR3 RAM was announced on October 22, 2013. During the same keynote was also announced the iPad mini with Retina display, and new versions include iPhoto, iMovie and GarageBand.

The latest iPad introduction is that of the iPad Air 2 , who last October was accompanied by the iPad Mini 3 (with Touch ID) and the new iMac with a 5K screen. See the full keynote back below.
