Asus Pad Infinity surpasses Retina display iPad - Techzine

During the press conference at Computex Asus introduced the new Transformer Pad Infinity, a hybrid tabtop with Nvidia’s new Tegra 4 processor and an impressive screen.

Transformer Pad Infinity is a 10.1 inch tablet with Tegra 4 processor. Like all products from the Transformer series, the product comes with a separate keyboard. This docking station has an SD card reader and a USB 3.0 port, in addition to an extra battery that extends the battery life of the tablet.

Hybrid carries a screen with a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels, resulting in a well stocked pixel density of 299 pixels per inch (ppi). That means that Apple’s Retina display in the iPad’s (249ppi) amply surpassed.

Asus presents the tablet as the “new” Infinity, echoing the Transformer Pad Infinity 700 which debuted last year. The product number and availability of the new Infinity will likely be known when Asus makes more details about the tablet known.
