ICT services provider Capgemini and the Dutch Rugby Union have a three-year sponsorship contract signed for Dutch Women’s Rugby Sevens Team. Capgemini is the coaching team and the players of the rugby team support in the coming years with performance analysis and data analytics. The aim of the Women’s Sevens Team is to achieve a medal at the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. The discipline is in Rio de Janeiro for the first time on the program of the Games.
In August 2012, Capgemini by the Dutch Rugby Board (NRB) approached to assist in improving the performance of the Women’s Sevens Team, through analysis of competition and training data. Capgemini has established itself as technology and innovation partner for the next three years at Dutch Ladies Rugby Sevens Team. Using performance analysis and data analytics is analyzed in collaboration with SAS analytics software partner, race and training data that the coaching team and the players are equipped with the latest insights.
