DreamWorks movie studio comes with tablet for kids - Bright

DreamTab DreamWorks Animation is an Android tablet, designed for watching videos by children.

DreamWorks Animation, the film Shrek and Madagascar, next spring brings its own tablet. The device receives a screen size of 8 inches, works with Android and will not cost $ 300 in the U.S. yet. Later a 12 inch version. DreamWorks is working with the company Fuhu, which has long been making the popular child-Nabi tablets.

DreamWorks wants the tablet will arrange a private TV channel for children. That this can work, is evident from the Nabi, which more than 2 million times went over the counter last year. Every week, these tablets accounted for 20 million video streams. As DreamWorks Animation produces children’s series, is the offer too good. Content on DreamTab remains not restricted to DreamWorks apps, children can watch movies from Disney and Cartoon Network.

DreamTab will accommodate many DreamWorks characters. If a child plays with the tablet, it can these characters just come in ‘character moments’. One example is that characters from Shrek telling a child that they have to put in a time when parents have previously programmed the device off. The tablet will also support educational apps. For example, children with their favorite cartoon characters supplied stylus learn copying.

Interestingly, the parent mode that has DreamTab. Specifications which are not yet known, but according to the author, the tablet in this position a full-fledged Android tablet with the same force as an iPad. About a possible Dutch release date and price is still unknown. The tablet next week at the CES trade show in Las Vegas is shown.
